Hi there. Well, I’m back from Xmas break – kids are now back into the school year and I have some head space to think again. DOn’t get me wrong, it’s absolutely magical having them at home in the hols and they’re at the best age ever, so I love my time with them and miss them when they’re at school, but I need (& want) to get back into work, so now I’m free to do so!
Lately I’ve been thinking about baths, bathrooms, tiles etc. But mainly baths….I noticed that I tend to lean to free standing baths as a favoured approach. Why is that? So, I decided to question that and challenge myself and find beautiful examples of drop-in or built-in baths. One of the best advantages of a built in is the ease of cleaning – namely you don’t need to get under or behind them (as I have had to do with my current and previous bathrooms). And wouldn’t that be an incentive in itself, right?
So, I turned to Pinterest (where else, right?) and started searching. WOW, did I find some gorge examples, or what! And true to form, many of the ones I found myself drooling over featured marble (so predictable!), and I think I may have been converted. I think the answer is often in keeping it paired back and unfussy. Clean lines and not too many elements competing for the eye. Of course, fabulous tapware helps too.
Here are some of the ones I particularly liked from Pinterest. Which ones do you like? Or are you still a free-standing type?
