The Sydney Home Show 2016 was a great opportunity to show off a bold design – black and white stripes with pops of greenery and splashes of gold!
My aim was to create a space that was glamorous and eye-catching with lots of luxe touches. And I had the wallpaper hung horizontally rather than vertically to give the illusion that the space was larger than is actually was. Although my palette was predominantly black and white, by bringing in greenery through plants and artworks, I added a third colour. This also suggested the outdoors.
I loved the gold elements – this gave the room a sophisticated and glamorous feel. And the mongolian throw and cushions really finished it beautifully. I chose a warm white ribbed rug to add texture and warmth – make it really feel and look inviting. The sofa was super comfy with its feather-wrapped foam seating and smart design and a charcoal fabric.
